Traveler’s Notebook Set-up
September 17, 2024It’s September! And Autumn is just right around the corner. I’m holding out hope for that chill in the air and some orange leaves, even though I’ve heard we don’t get that where we live in Texas.
In the theme of back to school, I’m sharing my Traveler’s Notebook set-up - which includes a cover, sticker pouch, grid notebook, monthly planner, sketchbook - and where I got some of these supplies! This post goes out to all my stationery lovers out there.
My Traveler’s Notebook Cover: I first found out about the Traveler’s Notebook set-up a few years ago and loved the idea of consolidating my notebooks & sketchbooks into one book. This isn’t a notebook cover from the official Traveler’s Company as their sizes were a bit too slim for me, and I was looking for an A5 size (so everything here on out is A5 size). This particular notebook cover can fit quite a bit, has multiple bands for various notebooks, a pen holder, and a strap to hold it all together.
To learn more about Traveler’s Notebooks, you can watch Yoseka Stationery’s (one of my favorite stationery shops!) video here.
The “inspired and probably tired” sticker is from Jollie Ollie Designs!
Zipper Pouch & Card Sleeve: This is where I store all my on-the-go stickers! I have individual stickers, stamps, and sticker sheets. You can also see the notebook cover’s pockets where I keep KING JIM kitta washi tapes and more sticker sheets. Some of my favorite sticker sheets are from Mugobunni!
This grid notebook is from a nearby Korean novelty store (it actually reminded me of Morning Glory), so I don’t really know the brand. If anyone knows, please let me know! But this is a new addition to my notebook collection. I mainly use it to collect paper ephemera, receipts, tags - generally anything cute I want to keep! I have a couple of these completed notebooks and may share in the future.
The big clip is a Penco Clampy Clip!
One of my favorites that I mentioned in a previous blog post - the MUJI monthly planner! I put all my important dates, deadlines, and plans in here. It feels so good to cross out finished tasks and look back on the whole month. It leaves a lot of room for customization, I love to add stickers and washi that feel on theme for the month.
Also pictured is some paper from Furukawa Paper. I LOVE their stationery and extremely charming illustrations. The flower sticker is from Leigh Ellexson! The sari-sari washi tape is from The Washi Station / Angela Lazy Doodles.
Last but not least, my sketchbook! It’s MD Paper’s Midori A5 Notebook (Blank). Pretty good paper quality, though I’ve only used pencil and colored pencil inside. I also reinforced the binding, since it’s been in my notebook for a few years now. Going to be replacing it soon with a fresh new Midori notebook!
On the cover is a sticker from Liliuhms and an MU Print-on sticker!

I hope you enjoyed this little notebook tour, it was a lot of fun to put together! Stationery helped get me out of some funks and kept me creative. I became obsessed with finding new stationery makers and small businesses. Adding bits of art here and there makes everything a little brighter and more fun, so stationery has a special place in my creative process. Please let me know if you want more stationery shares!
If you want to check out any of these notebooks, I’ve listed them on my Amazon storefront.
Till next time,
Christine

CARD ART CORNER
This month is Yuka Morii: Part 2! These are especially lovely because of the backgrounds that match the Pokemon. Also they’re food themed (except the Trubbish, but he deserves special treatment). Will be highlighting a special ghost Pokemon next month, stay tuned!
